I’m tired tired tired…but wanted to post the last setup from this weekends workshop. I haven’t shot Chelsey for quite some time and she is always a pleasure. Chelsey is an absolute professional and a joy to work with. Her posing and movement is superb. The percentage of keepers is extremely high. She is signed with Next Miami so if you are looking for a model she is top on my list.
The setup is a 2K hot light for the main, 2 gridded straw gelled small strips for rims and behind me a large octabox as fill. The bamboo frame is from a king size headboard set. The floor is castoffs from the carpenter in my building that had stacks of it after a big job. It was medium in color and I stained it darker to look more plantation style. The planks lay uneven so it looks more floor like and catches the light great. My problem is I like the face so much I rarely shoot the feet, but I usually lay a floor just in case.
Thank you to Kevin, Dan, Bob, Susan, Chelsey, Andi, Andrea, Debbie, Erick and as always Cashoo

I can’t wait to attend one of your workshops Mary! Now, please tell me how you gelled the strip box, is it one large piece of gel at the front diffusion panel or do you attach a smaller piece back near the light someway? Thanks. I love your blog.
I had a blast Mary! Thank you for a great learning experience and image making opportunities. What a great team of people you bring to your workshops. Fun fun fun. Now I have to go back on my diet (I’m always bad at Chez Mary!).
