Knoll Lighting Factory Fun

Detroit Michigan Fashion Photographer Mary DuPrie

During the day I wonder what I’m going to blog about.  I normally sit down about 11pm and start.  Sometimes with an idea, sometimes not.  I Rolodex through what I did or learned or tried to learn for that day.  It surprises me some days how many different topics and subjects I touch on.

Reading forums, surfing the net, watching videos and talking with other photographers I never run out of things.  I’ve still been spending quite a bit of time on my computer and especially because it’s cold and snowy out side I don’t feel so guilty.  I’ve been doing ballet conditioning to offset the sitting and that’s still comical.  But I digress.

Yesterday I ran into a fun plugin called Knoll Lighting Factory. It has a specific use but can be great when needed.  I used it above on overload just to see what it would do.  This image is out of my camera with just Knoll Lighting applied to it.  The impressive part was the real time viewing.  One thing I wish it had though is a blur slider for some of the effects.   I couldn’t find much on it and their website doesn’t supply much either, disappointing.  One of the few I found

I found out why my landing page has the border and how to fix it.  I just had to set the border to 0.    I need to make a few other designs for my landing pages to match what the page is about.  Yesterdays page was for comp cards but I have a head shot page holding it.  One more thing to add to my list.

I set up two more landing pages this morning and that felt great.  I still  haven’t figured out my Dreamweaver work flow though, but I’m tenacious.  I made a text document  and also include screen grabs to help remember the steps, as there are a ton.  I have to go to GoDaddy.com, Pair.com then Dreamweaver, all involving different steps.  Why?  SEO

It’s great when I mention a problem and get an answer right here.  Thanks so much!

Hey Connie

Do you already have it? Any tips? Doesn’t seem to be much info out there. I need a lesson…
