Model Photography for Tweens

Part 1

I got home late tonight because I was setting up my white high key setup for tomorrow.  I donated a day at the studio to the Grosse Pointe Acadamy.   It’s not really local to me, it’s actually on the other side of town.

I’ve never donated anything before but Kim Adams asked me too and I thought why not. They offered a silent auction of 780 items and a live auction.   My package was one of the 27 high end items live auctioned at the Dumouchelle Auction Gallery.  I can imagine my name was mentioned several times over the course of the auction… famous that I am!

I offered a fun day at the studio for three school kids.  An industry headshot and some fun body shots.  I’ll shoot them alone and just goofing around together on white seamless.  I thought I would throw in a more formal window light portrait that mom and dad will like… pizza and pop on me.

After the main girl receives her headshot the next part of the package is to receive  a private  tour of  Productions Plus/The Talent Shop.  The owner Olga will personally take her around and show her how the industry works.  She will have the opportunity to submit and potentially get signed.

The person who purchased the package called to make their appointment and I was curious how much it sold for… $4,000.00  Wow, I wasn’t expecting that.

We all are asked to donate things over the course of time, picking and choosing which will benefit our business.  But what do we do for no acclaim at all?  Just because we can… no one will know… just you

Which brings me to… Ian Brown
