The list is getting shorter. I’m feeling a bit in the groove lately. Working on my website, setting up my blog, paying attention to SEO, making my first photo book… and the big bang… I bought an IPhone today.

As photographers I think we can be assured of not getting Alzheimer’s.
I canceled my internet access at the studio because it was costing me $69 a month. I only used it once in a while, so it seemed a waste. I signed up for wireless on new my phone for $45… cool. Now I can check my schedule when potential clients call and get my emails on the fly.
Humm… maybe i’ll get an IPad to tether into!?

SEO is a very mysterious, voo doo topic…
I was clueless when I first heard the phrase. I thought it meant “to make your site look pretty” seriously. Besides my referrals came from the agencies so I never cared. I’m branching out now and don’t want my finances to be in the hands of such a small group of people. I want a much larger net of potential clients.
Photographers, if you want to make money in this biz you “MUST” be optimized. It’s not a luxury like that new lens or backdrop which you always seem to have $$$ for.
I hope my local competitors stay cheap and clueless…

Not just the fantastic photos, but the SEO work you’ve been up to lately has been really inspiring me to get off my lazy butt and finally take care of boosting my own google rankings.
